Company Background

My grandfather, Harry Triefler, founded W-T in 1928 and, through a lot of quality work, built it into a very busy plumbing and heating contractor. At his side, virtually from the age of 12, was my dad, Sidney Triefler.

I’m very proud of my father, who, at the age of 26, became one of the youngest licensed plumbers in New York City. The licensing board wondered how he could have had the requisite skills at such a young age, but dad proved that he had apprenticed at my grandfather’s knee for many years after school and during summers to learn the trade. 

Twenty-six years ago I joined my father, and began operating W-T along with a team of truly talented field service technicians. The same exceptional level of service that was the hallmark of our earlier years is still in place today. We know we can provide it for you as well.
